AgriStability How to Enrol

To enrol in AgriStability some basic information about your operation and farm history is needed. Getting the information to us on or before the April 30th, 2024 deadline is easy!

Once your forms are received and processed, we will mail your Enrolment Notice showing your AgriStability Program Fee for the year.

If you have participated in AgriStability in the last 2 years, we will automatically send you an Enrolment Notice.

Who is eligible

Any farm in British Columbia that earns income from the primary production of agricultural commodities can sign up. All AgriStability Participants are involved in the growing and harvesting of a crop or are in the process of rearing and selling livestock.

To receive an AgriStability Payment in a loss year producers must do each of the following:

  • Tax filing: Applicants should have carried on the business of farming in Canada and reported farming income (or loss) for income tax purposes.
  • Operational commitment: A minimum of six consecutive months of farming activity is required.
  • Production cycle: Eligible applications must have completed a production cycle involving one or more of the following elements:
    • The growing and harvesting of a crop.
    • The process of rearing livestock.
    • The purchase and sale of livestock within a program year in the case of feeding or finishing enterprises.
