It's important to keep your vaccination records up-to-date

Vaccination records (also called immunization records) provide a history of the vaccines you or your child have received. Keeping you and your family's vaccination records up-to-date is important. You may need these records for certain jobs, travel or school registration.

Who can use this service

You can add or update a record to the B.C. Provincial Immunization Registry (PIR) if you are a B.C. resident. You can view your vaccination records in Health Gateway.

I got a COVID-19 vaccine outside B.C.

If you received one or more doses of COVID-19 vaccine outside B.C., you should add them to the PIR as soon as possible.

Keeping your COVID-19 vaccination record up-to-date means that you will get notified when you need a booster dose. You also need accurate records for proof of vaccination, which may be required for international travel.

Visit the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) for information about acceptable vaccines in B.C.

My COVID-19 proof of vaccination is incorrect

If the vaccination history on your Canadian COVID-19 proof of vaccination is incorrect, you should update your vaccination records.

It may take 10 to 14 days for the updated information to appear on your proof of vaccination in Health Gateway.

I am a health care worker

If you are a B.C. health care worker covered by a Provincial Health Officer (PHO) order, you can update your employment vaccination record by uploading your records to the PIR.
