The Traceability Knowledge Transfer program provides funding support to agriculture, food, and seafood industry organizations for the purpose of educating their membership about traceability systems, practices, infrastructure, and technologies.
Industry organizations may apply for funding to support knowledge or skills development on a relevant traceability topic. These topics may include, but are not limited to:
Note: Activities focused on livestock traceability must include a discussion about premises identification. Registration with the BC Premises ID Program has been mandatory for BC livestock operators since July 2022. Additionally, BC Premises ID registration forms and brochures must be made available to event attendees.

Applications to fund a speaker or events focused on traceability can be submitted during the Spring and Fall intake periods of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Program. More information on the KTTP and the intake periods are available on the program’s website or by contacting Knowledge.Transfer@gov.bc.ca.
