On January 17, 2022, the governments of Canada and British Columbia committed up to $134 million towards a third intake of the Green Infrastructure - CleanBC Communities Fund (CCF), which is part of the federal government’s Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP), to support cost-sharing of infrastructure projects in communities across the province. This intake supports projects starting in 2023 and completing by March 2027.
The first intake closed in March 2019, the second intake closed in November 2020, and the third and final intake closed in May 2022.
The CleanBC Communities Fund is a foundational component of the B.C. government’s CleanBC plan, which puts B.C. on the path to a cleaner, better future with a low-carbon economy that creates opportunities for all while protecting our clean air, land, and water.
The CleanBC Communities Fund is a collaboration between the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in close partnership with Infrastructure Canada
